Just fifty metres away is Duomo and the main shopping thoroughfare which leads to Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. Stroll through Florence's main produce markets, located just two blocks away and explore the many historic buildings and monuments surrounding this most central location.

We stayed in the Zava apartment for 2 weeks from October 22 - November 5th. The location of the apartment is amazing, you can walk just anywhere in Florence in 15-20 minutes. The apartment is very comfortable and is perfect for a couple. We were provided with all the linens and the cleaning crew came in once a week to clean. Having the wifi/internet was a great plus. There are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the apartment but after we lugged the suitcases up, it was good exercise going up and down a couple times a day. Gianna had told us this apartment did not have a view but the windows are large enough to give plenty of light. For the most part, the aparment is quiet but we did find that there is a bit of noise from other guests coming and going and we could hear people late at night talking but we found that the case in all the apartments we rented in Italy. We especially enjoyed the restaurant close by called Trattoria San Lorenzo, the food is excellent and prices are very good and the wait staff is very nice. Overall, we would highly recommend renting an apartment from Gianna and Sleeping in Florence.

Ciao Gianna, Thank you for making our first time in Florence so special. It is a wonderful city, with so much history and many beautiful monuments and amazing buildings. The highlight of our visit though was the chance to stay at your Zava apartment near the Duomo cathedral. The apartment felt like a 'home away from home' and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Claire particularly loved the big floral mural on the wall (I think she wants one for our own living room at home!) and having the cooking facilities in the kitchen allowed us to eat in the apartment regularly, even though there are so many nice restaurants down on the street below! We also appreciated you providing the wireless internet connection so we could stay in touch with family at home, and the washing facilities were great - we were able to catch up on all our laundry. Thanks again Gianna for all your advice as we were making our reservations and for your suggestion that we book the Zava apartment - it was just perfect. Best of luck to you, you are a great ambassador for Florence.
