Francis and Tully -
Greetings John and I want to thank you so much for the professional and warm welcome to Florence. Our Manfreddi apartment was perfect for our needs. Facilities, location, view...all were perfect. Beppe was prompt, polite and very helpful in his transporting us to and from the airport. Even took us into the airport on departure to be sure we reached the proper baggage checking kiosk. He was the ultimate in Florence hospitality. As was Martina as we checked into to the apartment. Best wishes for a good year. Francis and John

Gail -
thanks, Gianna. We really like the apartment and the location. It's a small space but it seems very large and someone took great care to make it charming--we very much enjoy being here. gail

Dave -
Florence Living at Its Best" We discovered this rental condo by accident but what a wonderful accident. Gianna, the owner, has several rentals in Florence. We were lucky to get this one. It was as good as one could hope for if not better. Our condo was centrally located in the heart of Florence - five minutes to the Duomo, ten to twelve to the Uffizi Gallery and the same , in an opposite direction to the Galleria accademia which houses Michael angelo's David. As we arrived by train, I note that the condo is a pleasant and easy 15 minute walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station. We were met by one of Gianna's staff , who spoke a very good English. I am sure she speaks at least five other languages. She showed us everything in the condo. This condo was absolutely ready to live - it was obviously cleaned before we came and was equiped with everything need - dishes, glasses, pots, pans everything. Downstairs and next store was a very good restaurant with good, reasonably priced food and friendly, helpful waiters. There were actually many such places on our street. Despite being a busy street, our sleep was undisturbed by any noise. Also, as we cooked our own breakfast, we found several small grocery stores nearby as well as a really wonderful bakery. Also, the apartment was very secure - no problem in this area. While staying here we met other renters - all agreed that Gianna's apartment were wonderful and very much a very good value for the money. A couple of tips - book with Gianna early as you can. Her apartments go very quickly. We were lucky to get ours. Next, if you can, buy your tickets to the Uffizi and the Galleria accademia online. The lines to buy tickets are otherwise very long. It costs a little more but saves you hours and hours of waiting. Next tip - Visit the Uffizi first and in the morning. Seeing everything can take time but we finished around noon and there is a wonderful cafeteria on the second floor of the Uffizi - good food, great views and reasonably priced. Beware of pickpockets, especially in lines. Keep your money, passports and like things in your front pockets or around your neck. They cut purses in the blink of an eye. All in all, we loved our rental and would very highly recommend any of Gianna's apartments to others. Our only regret is that our visit was not longer. We will certainly rent from Gianna again when we return to Florence. One last word, our rental was on the third floor - not really suitable for those with difficulty walking but good for all others. Also, it was non-smoking.

Stayed in the Manfredi apartment in October 2012. Professional booking and pre-arrival process and painless arrival. We arranged with Gianna to be picked up from the airport and this made it even easier. Apartment as described and shown in the photographs. Very well located apartment near everything. Coped OK with the 72 stairs despite some very sore feet after a full days wandering around Florence. Sometimes a little noisy at night with reveller wandering home. Overall an easy stay and a very good option.

Hi Gianna: I just wanted to let you know Tammy and I had a wonderful stay in Florence June 7-9. You have a great apt in a fabulous location. Also, the taxi cab driver picked us up promptly at 5a. We got the airport with plenty of time for check-in. Thanks again! Mary Ann :)

My husband and I actually stayed at the Falleri apartment in May for 8 nights and I am still pondering about it and the surrounding area. Could see people walking on top of Duomo in morning, cats playing on opposite roof top garden morning and night, lovely accordion music at night in the restaurants, supermarket on same street and everything else easily walkable. The atmosphere out weighs the stairs and we would definitely stay there again for all the wonderful things about it - just loved it.

from a tripadvisor comment:"My husband and I said in the Falleri apartment. Room with a view! It was right in the historical center of Florence, only about a block away from the Duomo. We spent three days there in June of 2008 and we walked everywhere we went from the Ponte Vecchio and Pitti Palace to the Accademia and Uffizi. The only drawback of this apartment is the stairs. There is no elevator and it is a heafty walk up but the view is worth it. It was an incredibly comfortable apartment. Nice living room area with kitchen and a bedroom loft (with bathroom) upstairs. It was the perfect place to come and relax after a long day of exploring the city. I was a little nervous it might be too noisy since there were restaurants and shops below, but there were wood panels that you could close at night that blocked out a lot of sound and light. (We wouldn't recommend eating at the restaurants below. Very touristy. We watched trucks in the mornings bring in large cans of tomato sauce.) Most of the restaurants within the city center are pretty touristy. Look for restaurants without flashy outdoor seating and without menus posted in several languages. As for the apartment, if we are ever back in Florence we will definitely be staying there again!
